Moon Phases For Hair Styles February 2008

Scheduling hair care with the moon phases is all about the dates. At the end of this short article you will find the optimum dates for February for everything from a simple cut to a permanent wave.

My quest started in January when I decided to find the astrological solution to my hair care after a disappointing experience. I chose the lunar dates for both a hair cut and coloring. My choices in January were quite satisfactory, although the hair color report will not be complete until next month.

Scheduling specific dates can be challenging. My regular hairdresser was not available for either of the two days I needed for a cut. While that was disappointing to me, when I went to another salon the manager herself was available for my simple cut as a walk-in customer. It turned out to be an easy and pleasant experience.

Two particular dates that may be absolutely perfect for you to consider for hair care are not on the list below. These two dates are connected to your birth chart. You may find one, two or sometimes three days per month related to your birth moon that are special days just for you.

1. Moon Phase Birthday. The first one is the moon phase that is the same as on the day you were born. We'll discuss what it means first and then how to find it.

The beauty of the moon phase birthday is that it is the day when you most feel like yourself, when you wake up in the morning and all seems "normal" for a change. The best way to describe it is a Good Hair Day. The world makes sense. You make sense. What better day to choose for your hair appointment? Also check every moon phase birthday against the dates below.

The simplest way to find out your moon phase birthday is to find it on a chart. One is available for free at http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/phase/phases1901.html Scroll down to find the year you were born. Then find the moon phase that is just before your birth date. Count the number of days after the moon phase to your birth date - for instance, First Quarter plus 3 days or Full Moon plus 1 day. By using this method, you will be able to choose the correct day in any month for your moon phase birthday.

2. Moon Sign Day. The astrological sign of your moon on your birthday is another day when the world seems right again. Often we have so much to do with work and home activities that this day comes and goes and does not seem very remarkable. However, once you start to pay attention to it, you will find a pleasant difference to this day with a positive emotional outlook.

On your astrological chart, find the moon and the sign - for instance, Moon in Leo or Moon in Capricorn. Each month on the days (it is usually two days) that the moon travels through your birth sign is similar to your moon phase birthday. Keep an astrological calendar handy for reference. My favorite is Jim Maynard's Pocket Astrologer.

3. Void of Course. When choosing the best day for hair care by the moon phase birthday and the moon sign day, it is best to check for one more detail to ensure the best result. If your special day has a V/C or Void-of-Course time, then skip those hours for an appointment. Most V/C times will allow for a half day to choose the correct timing. The void of course moon occurs when the moon is traveling between the signs. Actions are best delayed until the moon reaches the next sign.

4. Curious exceptions for Pisces and Cancer. If your moon is in one of these signs, then you have a decision to make. Johanna Paungger and Thomas Poppe in their book called Moon Time declare specifically to avoid all hair treatments during these signs. I respect their opinions on all information about the lunar cycle.

Emotions are often involved in hair care decisions. How you feel about yourself and how you look can influence changes in styling or coloring. Astrologers agree that the moon and the moon signs are directly related to your emotions. By using the two methods mentioned here for hair care, you are choosing the day when you feel your best.

I have scoured the available expert information about the moon phases and hair care to give you the best dates for February to make appointments. Pay special attention to the "avoid" days that include the important the void of course times related to hair care days.

VIP and Celebrity Speakers

Politicians, VIP's and celebrity speakers often expect to bring their spouse or an aide with them when they travel. If other parties are involved make sure you have something in writing that outlines what the understanding is regarding lodging and food reimbursement. If you retain your speaker's services well in advance of your conference date he or she may be able to arrange other engagements close to your meeting date and location. If this happens, it could mean you save on the speakers travel expenses as this cost would then be shared.

If you would like your speaker to attend social events before or after the presentation, be sure the speaker is aware of your request well in advance. In many cases a speaker will spend the time right before his/her presentation preparing to go on the platform. Speakers are usually happy to attend extra events if given sufficient notice. Be aware, however, that some speakers prefer not to attend social events and some charge extra for any additional time spent.

Be sure to get the speaker's photograph and biographical information to ensure you have what you need for any publications (programs, brochures, newsletters). The speaker will also provide you with an appropriate introduction.

Send the speaker as much information as possible about your organization including company newsletters, annual reports and any relevant meeting bulletins. Also send the speaker copies of any material mentioning his or her presentation.

Many speakers and seminar leaders have written books and produced cassette tapes of their programs. Create a mutual understanding about what promotion of their materials will be allowed.

Mention of products being available can be made immediately following a speaker's presentation. Attendees often benefit from material that extends the value of the presentation. If you want to make an audiotape or videotape of a presentation be sure to get signed authorization in advance.

1. Check contracts for accommodation requirements.

2. Bars, snacks and complimentary buffets.

3. Transportation to and from the event and to and from the airport - limousines, helicopters, private planes.

4. Welcome and hospitality arrangements in place.

5. Reference material about organization supplied to speaker well in advance.

6. Outline of speech received prior to event.

7. Date given for when biography, headshot and introduction to be received.

8. Arrangements for any other person(s) traveling with the speaker.

9. Be aware of VIPs personal preferences i.e. likes golf, will attend banquet, meet and greet.

10. Send out thank you letters.

11. Gifts either delivered to room during conference, presented following speech or sent after the event.

12. Allow time for questions from the audience following speakers presentation.

Daith Piercings

The Daith is a section of your ear, comprised completely of cartilage, and it is the outer of rim of cartilage closest to the head. Not many people have daith piercings, and even less think it is a piercable area of the body, but rest assured, the daith IS piercable and it does look fantastic!

Cartilage is nothing more than connective tissue, and the daith is no exception. Although placed on (and slightly in) the ear, the daith piercings will in no way affect your sense of hearing or your balance. There are not many nerves running through the daith, yet many people who get this pierced report a decent amount of uncomfortable pressure being felt, although this usually from the clamps a piercer would use to secure the area. Bleeding can happen with this piercing, not because of the piercing process per se, but because many people are very careless with their ears. New piercings, particularly in cartilage, are very sensitive to abuse, so putting cell phones against your daith, using a q-tip too harshly, shoving iPod headphones (or any headphones) in your newly pierced ear, or pressing your hands against your ears too hard will agitate your piercing and could make it bleed. The daith is in a complicated place (for the ear - in the grand scheme of things, its not nearly the most complicated piercing available) so if you are considering a daith piercing, make sure you are very cautious and protective of it for at least three to six months!

Stretching the daith would be extremely painful, so gauging it wouldn't be recommended by any professional or reputable piercer. Most jewelry used in daith piercings are captive bead rings (and this type of jewelry helps aid the healing process because it's harder for build-up to accrue) although other types of jewelry such as curved or circular barbells may be suitable. Of course, don't even think of replacing the jewelry until it is completely healed - which can take from three months to a year - and even then, your particular ear shape may not be conducive to either barbell shape in this location.

The aftercare is pretty standard for a cartilage ear piercing: soak in warm salt water, don't touch it with your grimy hands, never use rubbing alcohol or Neosporin on it, don't use headphones that require insertion into the ear (there are plenty on the market that won't irritate your piercing), and just be very gentle with your overall ear. In the event of infection, keep up your aftercare routine, but see your piercer for further advice. Sometimes, gently patting diluted tea tree oil helps with swelling and infection, but talk to your piercer first. With proper care management and vigilance, your daith piercing will heal flawlessly in no time!

The Popularity of Online Poker

The Online Casino industry is booming and one section of the casinos that seems to be really taking off is Online Poker. Traditionally a favourite of land-based casinos the online version was never really the game that looked likely to be the true boom for the online casinos, that is until the last few years. It seems that the boom in the online version has been coupled with the growth in the land-based casinos, with Poker Rooms being opened all over the world and especially in the United Kingdom.

Another area where Poker was always seen as traditional was the Home Games. It is true that there is an image of home games being played in garages or kitchens, often filled with smoke and with drinks flowing freely and these games do still exist; however most players now prefer to "meet" in an online version of their garage or kitchen and play in a safer and smarter environment.

Live Television coverage of some of the worlds largest games has also ignited a new breed of player; the Celebrity. Celebrities in the Poker world take two different forms; Poker Celebrities and Poker-playing Celebrities. The Poker Celebrity is a player who has become famous by their poker playing skills and has probably been a celebrity in a small form within Poker circles for many years. One of the most famous is Doyle Brunson, a senior-citizen with many WSOP bracelets and a wholly respected personality within the Poker world. Poker-playing Celebrities are people who were famous before they started to play in the Televised tournaments and are usually sports stars, actors and actresses, comedians and presenters.
